If you have never had the opportunity to visit Cape Town before and are planning your first trip, then you are in for a treat. One of the first things to look at is accommodation, so why not look at booking a self-catering villa or apartment? You can choose from apartments and villas in Clifton that will be within minutes of the beaches, or how about choosing one of the lovely large homes in Camps Bay for your stay?
There are some stunning properties to choose from, anything from 2 bedroom up to 8 bedroom properties, but what they all offer are lovely views and upmarket finishes. Most are located within walking distance of the beach so you can leave the car behind and take a stroll down to the beach.
Looking to be a little further from the crowds, then look just the other side of the mountain from Clifton, here you will find the stunning Bantry Bay and Fresnaye neighbourhoods. These areas are often overlooked as one presumes them to be far from the beaches, but in reality, you are still within easy reach of the beaches and you have the added benefit of being in areas that are almost completely wind free. What you will find here though are homes that are well maintained and offer top level panoramic views and features, these homes have all been designed with comfort and functionality in mind, but you certainly won’t feel that you are missing out on anything.
But, what if you are a seasoned traveller to Cape Town, and you are tired of the same old scene along the Camps Bay and Clifton coast? The answer is easy, have a look along the False Bay coast, you will find some true hidden gems in the Simon’s Town and Fish Hoek areas. If you prefer to stay on the Atlantic Seaboard side, so you are within reach of the main areas, then how about looking at staying in Llandudno, Hout Bay or even Constantia? You might even want to consider the further reaches heading down towards Cape Point; here you will find some of the most peaceful areas in the Cape, including Noordhoek, Kommetjie and Misty Cliffs.
